SocketTools 7.2 Released

SocketTools 7.2 includes new components, native support for both 32-bit and 64-bit platforms, support for IPv4 and IPv6 network connections and all editions include support for secure connections using SSL/TLS and SSH. We've also consolidated the SocketTools editions to make it simpler for developers to choose the right development tools for their products. There are now three SocketTools Editions:

  • SocketTools .NET Edition
The SocketTools .NET Edition includes managed components that are supported on both x86 and x64 platforms, and can be used with Visual Studio .NET 2003 through Visual Studio 2010, as well as any other development tool that supports the .NET Framework on the Windows platform. Customers who own an earlier version of SocketTools are eligible to upgrade to the current version, regardless if they owned a standard or secure edition of the product. Those who have purchased either the Visual Edition or Scripting Edition are entitled to upgrade to the new ActiveX Edition. We've also made it simple for customers to switch to a different edition, if they choose. For example, if you currently own the SocketTools Library Edition and want to switch to the SocketTools 7.2 .NET Edition, you can do that easily at a reduced price.
