FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
New and improved SocketWrench again receives SuperShareware.com 5 Star Rating!
Yucca Valley, CA, September 12, 2001 - Catalyst Development Corporation, publisher of SocketTools TCP/IP components and ActivePatch updating SDK, today announced the release of a new and improved version of their popular SocketWrench freeware.
SocketWrench 3.5 Freeware Edition is a general purpose package that simplifies Windows Sockets programming for both client and server applications. For developers new to Internet software development, SocketWrench greatly reduces the learning curve typically associated with socket programming. With components available for both 16-bit and 32-bit platforms, SocketWrench is designed to meet the needs of developers writing software for all versions of Windows using a wide variety of development languages.
The RAS dialer included with SocketWrench lets the developer easily manage dial-up networking sessions under Windows 9x, Windows NT, Windows ME, Windows 2000, and Windows XP directly from within his application. Instead of depending on the autodial feature, the developer can take direct control of the session including the ability to determine if a dial-up networking session is already active and to monitor the connection status. The RAS dialer also allows for the creation of new phonebook entries.
