SocketTools Secure Editions

SocketTools is a suite of Internet components and libraries for developers using the Windows operating system. The SocketTools product comes in several different editions, depending on the needs of the developer and the programming language being used. • SocketTools Secure .NET Edition
A collection of managed code classes for the .NET Framework, and is designed to be used with languages such as Visual Basic, C# and Delphi .NET. The product includes assemblies that target version 1.1 and version 2.0 of the Common Language Runtime. Supported development tools include Microsoft Visual Studio 2003 (or later) and Borland Developer Studio 2006.
  • SocketTools Secure Library Edition
A collection of standard dynamic link libraries (DLLs) which can be used with Visual C++, Visual Basic, Delphi, PowerBASIC and virtually any other programming language available for the Windows platform. The Library Edition offers developers a comprehensive, lower level interface that is similar to the Windows API.
  • SocketTools Secure Scripting Edition
A collection of COM scripting components that are designed primarily for use with scripting languages such as VBScript and JScript. They are commonly used with ASP in server-side web scripting, although they can also be used with more traditional programming languages such as Visual Basic. These components can be used with any Windows development tool that supports the Common Object Model specification.
  • SocketTools Secure Visual Edition
A collection of ActiveX controls that are designed for visual programming languages such as Visual Basic, Visual FoxPro and PowerBuilder. They can also be used with Visual C++, Delphi and any other development tool that supports the ActiveX control specification.

In addition to the standard Internet protocols supported by SocketTools, the Secure Editions support secure communications using the industry standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), Transport Layer Security (TLS) and Secure Shell (SSH) protocols. With full support for 128-bit encryption, client certificates and the ability to create your own custom secure server software, the SocketTools Secure Editions can be used to create high-quality, commercial software with all the security features users demand just by enabling a few options in your program.

The SocketTools Secure Editions include all of the features and enhancements in the Standard Editions, along with improved support for security related functions, such as support for client certificates.
