SocketTools Standard Editions

The SocketTools Standard Editions include libraries and components for Internet and Intranet software development. There are several editions of SocketTools that are available, depending on your development environment and programming language.   • SocketTools .NET Edition
    A collection of managed code classes for the .NET Framework, and is designed to be used with languages such as Visual Basic, C# and Delphi .NET. The product includes assemblies that target version 1.1 and version 2.0 of the Common Language Runtime. Supported development tools include Microsoft Visual Studio 2003 (or later) and Borland Developer Studio 2006.
  • SocketTools Library Edition
    A collection of standard dynamic link libraries (DLLs) which can be used with Visual C++, Visual Basic, Delphi, PowerBASIC and virtually any other programming language available for the Windows platform. The Library Edition offers developers a comprehensive, lower level interface that is similar to the Windows API.
  • SocketTools Scripting Edition
    A collection of COM scripting components that are designed primarily for use with scripting languages such as VBScript and JScript. They are commonly used with ASP in server-side web scripting, although they can also be used with more traditional programming languages such as Visual Basic. These components can be used with any Windows development tool that supports the Common Object Model specification.
  • SocketTools Visual Edition
    A collection of ActiveX controls that are designed for visual programming languages such as Visual Basic, Visual FoxPro and PowerBuilder. They can also be used with Visual C++, Delphi and any other development tool that supports the ActiveX control specification.
