The ClosePackage function closes the specified package handle and releases the memory allocated for the patch package.

	HPACKAGE hPackage		// handle to package file

Parameters

hPackage

[in] Handle to an open package file.

Return Values

If the function succeeds, the return value is non-zero.

If the function fails, the return value is zero. To get extended error information, call GetLastError.

Remarks

A package handle is not a handle to a Windows object and cannot be used interchangably with other Windows API functions.

Failure to close a package handle will result in a memory leak and may leave the package file in a locked state, inaccessable by any other process until the process which owns the handle terminates.
