SocketTools Help Files

Online help is available for all of the SocketTools products. The technical reference documentation includes features found in both the Standard and Secure Editions and the SocketTools subscription includes all of the .NET classes, ActiveX controls, scripting components and libraries.

New developers should be sure to read the overview section which provides general information about each of the libraries or components included in the product.

  • SocketTools .NET Managed Classes
    The online help for the .NET Edition includes a Developer's Guide and Technical Reference. Note that this online help is also integrated into Visual Studio.
  • SocketTools ActiveX Controls
    The online help for the Visual Edition includes a Developer's Guide and Technical Reference. For information about using the ActiveX controls in languages other than Visual Basic, review the Language Support section of the Developer's Guide.
  • SocketTools Dynamic Link Libraries
    The online help for the Library Edition includes a Developer's Guide and Technical Reference for both the core SocketTools API and Visual C++ classes. For information about using the libraries in languages other than C and C++, developers should refer to the Language Support section of the Developer's Guide.
  • SocketTools Scripting Components
    The online help for the Scripting Edition includes a Developer's Guide and Technical Reference. For information on using the scripting components with ASP, PHP and other scripting host environments, refer to the section on Scripting Languages in the Developer's Guide.
