Gets and sets the framing protocol for the current phonebook
entry.
Syntax

protocol ]
Remarks
The FramingProtocol property is used to set or return the
framing protocol used for the current phonebook entry. The
following values may be specified:

Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP). This is the most
common protocol used by Internet Service Providers (ISPs). |

Serial Line Internet Protocol (SLIP). This is a
protocol commonly used when connecting to older UNIX systems. |
| 4 |
rasFramingProtocolRas |
A proprietary Microsoft protocol implemented in
Windows for Workgroups 3.11 and Windows NT 3.1 |
Note that unless there is a specific need for the application to
use SLIP or the Microsoft protocol, it is recommended that PPP
always be selected as the framing protocol.
